9-11-25   THOUGHTS

In a sense, we live in heaven now!  We eagerly await (don’t we?), our Lord.  A transformation of our weak flesh into a glorious body like His,  awaits  us.  There is a great waiting, in a time of great presence!  We are ALIVE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD NOW!  The quality of our "aliveness" needs a daily examination.  How am I doing?  What’s the quality of  the “joy of my salvation?”   Eph 2:19  “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household...”  Our citizenship is in heaven!   We read below that Christ “will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory”!   Read 1Cor 15:20-58.   Our waiting should be actively exciting!  It should be a powerful waiting!

Php 3:20-21   For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;  21  who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

A Prayer:
O Lord God, we thank You for Your presence in our lives.  Help us to taste that presence more fully and powerfully.  Concentrate our focus on the things that matter.  Remove our tendency to be distracted.   We long for the time when we will take on Your nature.  Even now,  may we absorb Your nature to the fullest extent  possible.  May we help others to wait with us in  joyful excitement.   Blessed be Your name, as we pray in Jesus,   Amen.
